John brings over two decades of executive-level corporate and project finance experience with ANZ Banking Group and Suncorp Bank, alongside 16 years in private markets investing across APAC with sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors, and family offices. He has served on investment committees, chaired boards of both private companies and government corporations, and remains an active venture and private equity investor with a portfolio of 18 technology startups.

Currently, John is Chair of Gentech Seeds (Pioneer Seeds Australia) and a large private family office, and was most recently Chair of the Queensland Rural & Industry Development Authority. He holds a Master of Business (Applied Finance) from UTS, a Bachelor of Business from Central Queensland University, and is an AICD member.
